Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Pocket Hypeman is a live-stream simulator for iPhone. When you go live, nothing is broadcast and no real person sees or hears you. Your audience is made by AI. This policy explains what the app sends, to whom, and how long it is kept.
The short version
- Your speech is turned into text on your iPhone. We never receive your voice.
- While you are live, the text of what you say goes to our server and on to an AI provider that writes your chat: OpenAI, and for adults connecting from the United States, also DeepSeek, whose servers are in China.
- Camera pictures go to AI only if you turn on Camera reactions. That is for adults only, and pictures go to OpenAI only.
- Our server keeps no transcripts and no pictures.
- No account, no ads, no tracking. We never sell your data.
- You can delete your data at any time in Settings.
Who we are
Pocket Hypeman (“the app”) is made by Bevelstone LLC, Yukon, Oklahoma, USA (“we”, “us”). We decide how the data in this policy is used. For questions or privacy requests, write to support@pockethypeman.com.
Everything in the app’s audience is simulated: viewers, comments, follows, gifts and donations are made by AI and by the app. Dollar amounts in the app are not money.
What stays on your iPhone
- Your video and your voice. The camera picture and microphone sound of your lives, and the recordings the app makes of them, stay on your iPhone. A video leaves your iPhone only when you save it to Photos or share it yourself.
- Speech to text. Apple’s speech recognition turns what you say into text on your iPhone. Your voice never leaves it: not to us, not to Apple’s servers, not to any AI provider. If your iPhone can’t turn speech into text on the device, the live runs without it and the chat doesn’t hear you.
- Your profile and history. Your stage name, profile photo, settings and past lives.
- Your birthday is used once to set your age mode and is not kept. Only “adult” or “teen” is saved.
What leaves your iPhone
While you are live: the text of what you say
While you are live, the app sends our server the text of what you have said in this live, the recent chat, and short notes the app keeps so viewers remember earlier moments. Lines you type for the chat, like a question for your audience, are included too. Our server passes this to an AI provider, which writes the comments, tips and answers you see. Nothing you say is sent when you are not live.
Each request carries a random code for that one live, so the AI provider can reuse its work between requests. It is not your device ID. Requests carry no name, email, account or advertising ID.
Only if you turn on Camera reactions: small camera pictures
Camera reactions let viewers react to what your camera shows. The feature is off until you tap Allow, and it is only offered to adults. When it is on and you are live, a small, low-resolution picture of what your camera shows goes with each chat request, every few seconds. Pictures go to OpenAI only, never to DeepSeek. You can turn Camera reactions off at any time.
Your device record
When you first open the app, it registers with our server using Apple’s App Attest, which proves that requests come from the real app. Our server stores:
- a random device ID that our server creates;
- the App Attest security key for this install;
- your age mode: adult or teen;
- your time zone offset, so daily limits reset at your midnight;
- the version and date of the AI consent you agreed to;
- the App Store transaction ID of your copy of the app, an ID Apple issues for each download, so a parent’s withdrawal of consent through Apple can reach this record;
- the date the record was made;
- the date the app last connected, so an unused record can be deleted after 12 months.
It also keeps a count of how much AI your device used each day, so one phone can’t run up unlimited costs. Old days are removed. The record has no name, email, phone number or account.
Anonymous diagnostics
Our server records technical codes about each request: whether it worked, how long it took, error codes, which AI model answered, how much text it used, the audience language and the age mode. These records have no device ID and none of what you say or show. We use them to keep the app working and to understand our costs.
Connection data
Like any internet service, our server host receives your IP address to deliver each request. Our server reads the country your connection comes from to decide which AI provider may answer. We don’t store your IP address or country in your device record or in our diagnostics.
What we don’t collect
We don’t collect your name, email, contacts, precise location, advertising ID or the photos in your library. The app can add videos to Photos when you tap save, but it can’t read your library. We don’t track you across other apps or websites.
Payments
The app has no purchases today. If we add in-app purchases, Apple will handle payment and we will never see your card details.
Who receives it
- Cloudflare
- Runs our server. Requests to OpenAI pass through Cloudflare’s AI Gateway with request logging turned off.
- OpenAI
- Writes your chat, sees camera pictures when Camera reactions is on, and checks AI comments with its moderation tool. OpenAI is the only provider for teens and for any request with a camera picture. Under OpenAI’s API data policy, OpenAI doesn’t use API data to train its models and may keep it for up to 30 days to monitor abuse, unless the law requires longer. We send requests with OpenAI’s storage option turned off.
- DeepSeek
- For adults whose connection comes from the United States, some chat requests (text only) go to DeepSeek. DeepSeek stores and processes data in the People’s Republic of China (DeepSeek Privacy Policy). DeepSeek’s terms for developers don’t say how long it keeps data sent through its API or whether it uses that data to improve its models, so assume it may keep it. Teens, people connecting from any other country, and requests with a camera picture never go to DeepSeek.
- Apple
- Provides App Attest, speech recognition, the App Store and, where available, age range checks.
- When the law requires it
- We may disclose data if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, where this policy keeps applying.
Nobody else receives your data. We don’t sell it, rent it or share it for advertising.
How long it is kept
- Text of what you say, and lines you type
- Our server: not stored; held only while it answers the request. OpenAI: up to 30 days. DeepSeek: not stated by DeepSeek.
- Camera pictures
- Our server: not stored. OpenAI: up to 30 days. Never sent to DeepSeek.
- Device record and daily usage count
- Until you delete it in Settings, or 12 months after the app last connects to our server, whichever comes first. A record that a parent’s withdrawal of consent blocked is kept while the block applies.
- Anonymous diagnostics
- Up to 90 days.
- Lives, videos and profile on your iPhone
- Until you delete them or delete the app.
Your choices
- Delete all data. On the Go Live camera, tap the gear, then Settings, then Delete all data. This removes your device record and usage count from our server and everything the app keeps on your iPhone. Videos you saved to Photos stay in Photos. We can’t recall text already sent to an AI provider, but it isn’t linked to you, and OpenAI deletes it within 30 days.
- Withdraw AI consent. In Settings, open AI data sharing and tap Withdraw consent. The app then sends nothing to AI providers, and you can’t go live until you agree again.
- Turn off Camera reactions in the Camera sheet at any time. Pictures stop right away.
- Change permissions for the camera, microphone and speech recognition in the iOS Settings app.
- Email us at support@pockethypeman.com to ask what we hold or to make any request in this policy. We answer within 30 days. Because we don’t know your name or email, we can’t match an email to a device record on our own; Delete all data in the app is the fastest way. If you can’t use it, write to us and we’ll help.
Children and teens
Pocket Hypeman is for people 13 and older. The app asks for your birthday before you start and refuses anyone under 13. Where Apple’s age range check is available, the app may use it too. The app is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them, as the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires. If you think a child under 13 used the app, email us and we will delete what we can.
People aged 13 to 17 get teen mode:
- OpenAI only, never DeepSeek;
- no Camera reactions, so no camera pictures go to AI;
- no Dares;
- stricter moderation: no comments about looks, no flirting, no swearing, and nothing about school or where anyone lives.
Where the law requires a parent’s consent before a teen uses an app, a parent or guardian must give it before the teen uses Pocket Hypeman.
Where your data goes
We are in the United States. Our server runs on Cloudflare’s global network, so a request may be handled in a data center near you. OpenAI processes data in the United States.
DeepSeek processes data in China. Only requests from adults connecting from the United States can go there. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or any other country, your data never goes to DeepSeek or to China. Before we add a country to that list, we will update this policy and the app will ask you to agree again.
Where EU or UK law requires it, transfers to the United States rely on our providers’ data processing terms, which include the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
EU and UK rights
If EU or UK data protection law applies to you, we rely on:
- your consent, to send the text of what you say and, if you allow them, camera pictures to AI providers. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings;
- our contract with you, to run the app you asked for, including your device record and daily limits;
- our legitimate interests, to keep the app secure, stop abuse and run anonymous diagnostics.
You can ask to access, correct, delete or move your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, or in the UK to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
California and other US states
We don’t sell or share personal information as California law defines those words, and we don’t use sensitive personal information to infer things about you. In the last 12 months we collected: identifiers (the random device ID and the App Store transaction ID), the text of what you said and typed while live, camera pictures if you allowed them, and technical diagnostics. We collected them from you, used them for the purposes in this policy, and disclosed them only to the providers listed above.
You can ask to know, delete or correct your personal information, and we won’t treat you differently for asking. The same applies where other US states give similar rights. Send requests to support@pockethypeman.com.
Security
The app talks to our server over encrypted connections (HTTPS). App Attest checks that requests come from the real app. Keys for AI providers are kept on our server, never in the app. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep as little as we can, so there is little to lose.
This website
pockethypeman.com uses no cookies and no analytics, and loads nothing from other websites. Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages visited, for a short time for security.
Changes
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects what goes to AI providers, such as a new provider or a new country for DeepSeek, the app will ask you to agree again before it sends anything.
